At Kip McGrath, we’ve always believed that every child deserves the chance to thrive at school and beyond. For almost fifty years, our centres have supported families by offering tutoring that is accessible, effective and confidence building. Now, we’re excited to bring those conversations to life in a new way with the launch of our podcast, TutorEd.
This series is designed to open up the world of tutoring to parents, educators and anyone interested in how children learn. Too often, tutoring is misunderstood as something reserved for the elite, or seen only as a last resort when a child is severely struggling. TutorEd aims to challenge those perceptions. Through honest discussions, expert interviews and real stories from our centres, we’ll show that tutoring is not only affordable but also a powerful tool for helping children feel supported, capable and motivated.
Each episode will explore the issues that matter most to families. We’ll talk about the common setbacks children face in the classroom, from difficulties with reading and maths to the anxiety that can build around homework and exams. You’ll hear from centre owners, tutors and staff who see these challenges every day, and who know how small group tutoring can make a huge difference. The aim is to help parents understand that these hurdles are normal and importantly, that they can be overcome.
Parents often tell us that the biggest change they see is not just in grades, but in their child’s attitude towards learning. That transformation, watching a child walk into school with their head held high, is what tutoring is really about.

Whether your child is finding certain subjects tricky, struggling with confidence, or simply needs a little extra encouragement, our discussions will show that support is available, effective and within reach.
