About Us

Kip McGrath was started in Whangarei in 1992 and has had wide reaching effects among many students in beautiful Northland since then. In July 2007 George and Joanna Brown moved from Christchurch to take up the Whangarei Kip McGrath venture. The centre is situated in the Town Basin beside the Marina.

As a professional team of qualified teachers we bring a wealth of experience gained through:

  • 33 years in primary school teaching at all levels (48 years combined), in Auckland, the Waikato and Canterbury
  • Parenting 5 wonderful children. Two of them are married now and we enjoy the richness their partners bring to us all.
  • We are now into the new phase of grand-parenting.
