About Us
The Waiheke Island Kip McGrath Education Centre has been successfully providing after school Maths and English tuition to children since 2000.
The centre is run by Margaret Hewett and has been well established for 10 years, it has a reputation for providing ‘excellent tutoring’. The centre is now conveniently located at the local Te Huruhi Primary School.
Teaching Philosophy:
The Kip McGrath Centre, on Waiheke Island, provides a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes self esteem, boosts every child’s confidence and helps them achieve their personal best.

Kip McGrath is an internationally trusted name in the field of private tutoring and supplementary education, with over 680 franchises in 20 countries.
Our Education Centre delivers the following individually tailored programs, catering for both remedial and extension courses.

- Free educational assessment for all new students
- An 80 minute session featuring a positive and fun learning environment

- After school sessions to suit busy schedules

- We can fit students who go to school in Auckland and have time constraints around ferry commuting.
- We support students school needs by direct communication with school class teachers through email.

Each child is given a free assessment prior to starting, parents concerns are established and the results of the assessments are discussed in confidence.
Following enrolment each student attends the centre once a week for 80 minutes, and follows their own individual programme. We aim to provide a relaxed, friendly and motivating learning experience where children can feel comfortable and happy. Progress is carefully monitored and students are regularly re-assessed. Each child learns at their own pace, they gain the confidence they need to make real progress and achieve their full potential. As they achieve and succeed they find learning both rewarding and fun. |

Monday to Friday; Session 1: 3.00 to 4.20
Session 2: 4.30 to 5.50
Session 3: 6.00 to 7.20
