About Us

The Avonhead Centre has been successfully providing after school tuition in Maths and English to children who need support with their schoolwork, since 1994. During this time our reputation has grown as a friendly caring environment in which children can relax and be motivated to learn.

Our attractive, very well established premises are situated in Staveley Street, Avonhead, and have convenient access and parking.

 		  

Centre Director, Jill Patterson, has over 20 years experience in Education.

Jill’s first hand experience enables her to identify each child’s learning needs and to plan a suitable individual programme.

  

Our Educational Team

Jill has built up a team of excellent teachers within the centre, and it now enjoys recognition for its caring approach to all our families.

All the teachers are experienced and qualified in Primary or Secondary Education in New Zealand. Support is given to all students, whether they are needing extra Maths or English tutoring, or wanting an extension programme.
